essential knowledge and skills needed to become safe, confident, and proficient in their use of firearms, tactics, and less-than-lethal methods as they apply to protection of self and family.  He has written and had published numerous articles for the Missouri CCW Instructors website as well as several other firearms/self-defense related websites. He also writes for the N.A.P.S.I. web blog as time allows and is currently serving his second term on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Sport Shooting Association (MSSA).  


Having run two successful private businesses in addition to having worked in the private sector in both supervisory and technical support roles, Chris has over two decades of resource management and project management experience.  He brings those years of experience and expertise to N.A.P.S.I. to oversee the day-to-day operations as well as training program development.  

Chris has completed hundreds of hours of formal self-defense, firearms, counter-ambush, mindset, less-than-lethal, and Missouri P.O.S.T. (law enforcement) Approved firearms training from numerous Instructors, Training Counselors, and Accredited Schools, in addition to participating in over 100 hours of Force-on-Force, scenario-based training. He takes part in both student and instructor level training each year to further his own knowledge base and skill level.

Chris is the presiding President of N.A.P.S.I. and is co-owner/operator of Armed Missouri, Inc, a full service training company located in Central Missouri.  Over the past decade, Chris has developed good working relationships with a network of professional self-defense trainers from around the country, which helps him stay up-to-date with new information and training protocols as well as providing exposure to a wide range of disciplines and thought processes.


Chris dedicates hundreds of hours each year to researching the topics of self-defense and violent crime, as well as human psychology and physiology, specifically as they relate to criminal behavior.
